Great experience at “Ford’s Garage,” a garage-themed restaurant!

Horns blow from the hanging car!

Gas pump nozzle and a real tire for a ladies room sink!

This car had smoke coming out the back and the tires spin!

What a surprise to see a restaurant with cars, tires, gas pumps and door handles made from gas pump nozzles! And, the food was fantastic! I can recommend the Cali burger for sure!!

Ford’s Garage is located on Causeway Blvd in Brandon, Fl. A fun place to visit.

Take a look at what’s happening at Fins’ at Sharky’s in Venice…

Last night was a Beef and Beer tasting, pairing a 5-course dinner with Beer from Calusa Brewing in Sarasota.

Two amazing chefs of Fins’ at Sharky’s explained their dishes and why they paired them with a specific beer. Representatives from Calusa Brewing gave a brief description of each beer as well.

This was our second visit to Fins’ at Sharky’s in Venice Beach for a great “pairing” of fantastic food and beverages. The first visit was a wine pairing.

Check out Fins’ at Sharky’s for a fun night out at the beach and explore exquisite food and drinks!

Amazing Dinner!

Take a trip back in time!

Remember diners and homemade burgers? Well, if you want a real homemade burger and a thick, creamy milkshake stop in at the Shake Station in Ellenton, FL! You need two hands to hold these juicy sandwiches and a spoon for the best, thickest, shake! Not to mention, the crispy onion rings and fries. Even on a diet you need to splurge once in a while. Lol

Best chocolate shake!

Best Maryland crab cakes around!

While at the beach at Pass-A-Grille on St Pete’s Beach, we ate lunch at The Brass Monkey. Since I am originally from Md., the “Monkey crab balls” looked interesting. I was NOT disappointed. They were delicious and reminded me of the best part of living in Md…blue crabs!!

The owners are from Maryland, so they know how to make a Maryland crab cake!!

Head over to St Pete’s Beach for a fun day in the sun and enjoy a great meal on the balcony at The Brass Monkey!

Maryland flag and Blue Crabs – true Marylanders

Bar Fly Saltwater Grill, Safety Harbor, Fl.

What a gem! Friends took us to the Bar Fly Saltwater Grill on Main Street in Safety Harbor and what a treat! The Bloody Mary Bar is worth the trip itself, it looks like a whole meal in a glass! The steamed bucket was amazing, with snow crabs, oysters, and jumbo shrimp. And the Smoked Fish dip was fantastic. Prices are reasonable and you have a choice of inside or outside seating. We went on a Sunday and waited a little, but it was so worth the wait! We took the time to walk around the town a bit. Don’t be in a hurry when you go, you will be there a couple of hours!

The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is directly across the street from the Bar Fly – make sure you walk through and make plans to revisit for their Sunday Brunch!

Doesn’t this look warm and inviting?

20171201_1918241559599357.jpgThis is how we spend an evening in Florida! Outdoor seating with a fire pit in the center of the table to take the ‘chill’ off, at Mattison’s City Grille. Great food, reasonable prices and the tropical drinks aren’t bad either! After dinner we strolled down to the Riverwalk to listen to the Blues Festival which began Friday evening and went on through the weekend. A lot of folks were ‘Out and About’!
